OPENING NIGHT

Date: Sunday, 2nd February 2025

Venue: Kitale Deep Sea Resort

Time: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

  • 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Arrival and red carpet experience featuring live music, cultural performances, and photo opportunities with filmmakers and special guests.
  • 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Opening ceremony
  • 7:00 PM - 7:17 PM: Screening of the short film Le Fetiche (17 minutes).
  • 7:17 PM - 8:45 PM: Screening of the feature film Nawi (1 hour, 28 minutes).
  • 8:45 PM - 9:15 PM: Cultural performance by a local artist and networking opportunities with refreshments.
  • 9:15 PM - 9:30 PM: Closing remarks highlighting the festival’s schedule and recognizing sponsors and partners.
  • 9:30 PM onwards: Optional afterparty with a live DJ or band.

  1. Filmmaker introductions accompany these screenings.
  • 7:45 PM - 8:30 PM: Awards ceremony recognizing outstanding films, filmmakers, and contributors. Special recognition is given to partners and sponsors.
  • 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Keynote and farewell speeches from organizers and invited guests. Includes an invitation to the next year’s festival.
  • 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM: Cultural grand finale featuring a high-energy performance celebrating regional culture. Networking with refreshments follows.
